Man killed in Englewood shooting

A man was shot to death Sunday in Englewood on the South Side.

The 35-year-old was outside about 8 p.m. in the 6800 block of South Emerald Avenue when three people approached him and fired shots, Chicago police said.

The man was struck multiple times and taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he died, police said.

He was identified as Keenan Lee of Englewood, and an autopsy confirmed he died of his injuries and ruled his death a homicide, the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

Area One detectives are investigating.
