A 16-year-old boy was killed in a shooting Sunday in Joliet, police said.

Officers found the teen with a gunshot wound to the head about 10:16 a.m. near the intersection of Ottawa and Monroe streets, Joliet police said.

He was pronounced dead at the scene by the fire department, police said.
