Five vehicle thefts were reported in June and July 2020, in Brainerd and Lonmgwood Manor.

Chicago police are warning residents of five vehicle thefts reported in June and July in Brainerd and Longwood Manor on the South Side.

In all but one theft, victims still had possession of their car keys, according to a community alert from Chicago police.

The thefts happened:

  • Between 9 p.m. June 16 and 8 a.m. June 17 in the 9400 block of South Wallace Street;
  • About 4 p.m. June 26 in the 9500 block of South Green Street;
  • Between 10 p.m. June 27 and 6 a.m. June 28 in the 9800 block of South Green Street;
  • Between 7 p.m. June 30 and 9 a.m. July 1 in the 9800 block of South Emerald Avenue; and
  • Between 10 p.m. July 1 and 4 a.m. July 2 in the 9800 block of South Emerald Avenue.
