Man shot dead in West Humboldt Park

The 29-year-old was shot in the chest in the lobby of a home in the 1200 block of North Kildare Avenue, Chicago police said.

A man was killed in a shooting Thursday in West Humboldt Park.

The 29-year-old was shot in the chest about 8 p.m. in the lobby of a home in the 1200 block of North Kildare Avenue, Chicago police said.

He was found unresponsive and taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

He was identified as Herbert Graham of Broadview, the Cook County medical examiner’s office said. An autopsy confirmed he died from his gunshot wounds and ruled his death a homicide.

Area Five detectives are investigating.
