Chicago police are warning residents of recent burglaries reported in Northwest Side neighborhoods.

In each incident, someone used a tool to pry open the side door of a garage and stole property, Chicago police said in a community alert.

The burglaries happened:

  • Between 8 p.m. April 19 and 10:30 a.m. April 20 in the 5900 block of North Harlem Avenue;
  • Between 11 p.m. April 20 and 8:30 a.m. April 21 in the 5700 block of West Ainslie Street;
  • Between 10 p.m. April 22 and 7:30 a.m. April 23 in the 5300 block of North Newland Avenue; and
  • About 5 a.m. April 24 in the 5700 block of North Parkside Avenue.
