A man was arrested and charged with a carjacking in South Loop after he crashed just blocks away.

Treyvon Marks, 26, was charged with aggravated vehicular hijacking with a firearm, according to Chicago police.

About 2:10 a.m. Friday, he carjacked a 30-year-old man in the 200 block of West Harrison Street, police said. About five minutes later, Marks crashed in the 700 block of South Wells Street and was taken into custody.

He was due in bond court Sunday.
