A 16-year-old boy was wounded in a shooting late Wednesday in Chicago Lawn on the Southwest Side.

The teen was standing on the sidewalk about 11 p.m. in the 6100 block of South Artesian Avenue when a car pulled up and someone inside fired shots, Chicago police said.

He was struck in the thigh and was taken to Holy Cross Hospital in good condition, police said.

No one was in custody.
