Chicago native Albert Berger — best known for producing such films as “Little Miss Sunshine,” “Cold Mountain,” “Election” and “Nebraska” — now is working on an intriguing movie starring Miles Teller which Deadline.com reports may also include Jeff Bridges and “Gone Girl” star Rosamund Pike. Berger’s longtime producing partner, Ron Yerxa, will produce the film with him.

“The Only Living Boy In New York,” written by Allan Loeb (“Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps”) is one of two upcoming projects “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” director Marc Webb plans to helm.

In “The Only Living Boy in New York,” Teller would play a recent college graduate who discovers his overbearing father is having an affair. He tries to stop it, then becomes involved with the woman — leading to an unusual romantic triangle. With advice from a questionable neighbor, the young man also learns a thing or two about love.

Before that project, Webb will first direct “Gifted,” with Chris Evans cast as a man who sues for custody of his gifted niece. Filming is scheduled to begin this fall.
