When Van Halen plays Jimmy Kimmel’s late-night show on ABC on both Monday and Tuesday, it will be to promote the band’s upcoming North America summer tour, as David Lee Roth and Eddie, Alex and Wolfgang Van Halen work their rock ‘n’ roll magic for fans.

Then beginning July 5, the musicians will kick off their tour in Seattle — crisscrossing the country until they wrap things up in Los Angeles on October 2 at the famed Hollywood Bowl. The Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band will support Van Halen at all its concerts this summer, including one in our area.

Van Halen is slated to perform at the First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre on July 24. Tickets go on sale April 4 at ticketmaster.com and livenation.com.
