SHARE 1 killed, 1 injured in Loop crash

A Loop crash left a man dead and another injured early Saturday.

About 3:20 a.m., a BMW heading westbound on Lower Wacker Drive hit a Jeep near Garvey Court and then struck a concrete barrier, according to Chicago Police.

The 20-year-old man driving the BMW was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he later died, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office. His name still was being withheld Sunday night pending family notification.

The driver of the Jeep, and 18-year-old man, was in good condition at Northwestern, police said. No citations were expected to be filed.
