A 17-year-old boy was shot Saturday night in the Lathrop Homes neighborhood on the North Side.

He was walking at 11:48 p.m. on the sidewalk in the 2600 block of North Hoyne when another male walked up and fired shots, striking the teenager in the right thigh, according to Chicago Police.

The teenager was taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

The men, 18 and 20, were in the 1800 block of West Monroe Street about 9:20 p.m. when two people got out of a light-colored sedan and fired shots. They were hospitalized in fair condition.
