Two Chicago Police officers and another person were injured Wednesday evening in a crash in the Far South Side Rosemoor neighborhood.

A squad car was going west on 111th Street with its lights and sirens on about 6:10 p.m. when it struck a vehicle at Cottage Grove Avenue, police said. That vehicle flipped and crashed into a utility pole.

The 42-year-old woman driving the vehicle was taken to Christ Medical Center with injuries to her upper body, police said.

The police car spun around and bumped into a second car, causing minor damage and no injuries to the two people inside, police said.

Two officers in a squad car, a 47-year-old male driver and 32-year-old female passenger, were taken to Christ Medical Center with minor injuries, police said.
