Chris Young in the State Journal-Register reported yesterday that the IDNR may close state-owned caves as soon as Monday, in response to the rapid spread of white-nose syndrome.

More than a million bats have already died from white-nose syndrome across the country.

The story reminded me that I have not visited Illinois’ caves.
