Steve Sullivan talks about the expansion of coyotes in our area, and what it means for human interaction on “Outside” this afternoon.

The curator of urban ecology for the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum, despite the big title and all, is a down-to-earth sort with a practical world view, and has some interesting and unexpected comments on coyotes.

In the photo above, Sullivan is the guy to the right. Joel Greenberg is up front and I’m left.

“Outside” airs from 4:30-5 p.m. Mondays on WKCC-FM (91.1) in Kankakee.

Laurel Soper, the web tech and digital media person for KCC, had a better podcast system set up here. It is a lot easier, which is good considering we have a large online audience. Otherwise, click here for online listening options.

It was nice to have both Greenberg and Sullivan in studio.

Next week, we have Sullivan back for a wider ranging discussion on mammals of our area.

I need to do more with Sullivan. I like people who are smart, yet walk the earth like the rest of us.

There is a Facebook page for Outside with Dale Bowman and Joel Greenberg.
