There’s nothing like football and grilling out. And it gets even better when Mike Ditka is on the grill.

Da Coach cooked his new Ditka sausages on Wednesday at the Vienna Beef Factory store and got rave reviews from those who came out.

“This definitely belongs with Ditka’s name on it. No doubt about it,” said Ron Williams of Homewood.

“We actually have this at our restaurant,” Ditka said of his new product line. “It’s got a nice bite to it, but it’s not going to burn your mouth.”

Fans who came dressed as Ditka or as one of the Superfans received a free t-shirt and a sausage. Proceeds from the event went to the Gridiron Greats Assistance Fund.
