Just call him the King of Boston.

Sox pitcher Jake Peavy (formerly White, currently Red) continued celebrating the Red Sox’ World Series win Saturday by buying what could arguably be the most efficient mode of transportation: a duck boat.

Veterans of the Wisconsin Dells can surely appreciate the decision to purchase the half boat, half car originally designed for military use in World War 2.

Peavy’s purchase isn’t exactly out of left field. In October, he casually mentioned to the Boston Globe plans to buy a duck boat and cruise the town with the cigar store Indian statue Peavy has been lugging around.

Based on photos from the scene, the Sun-Times can confirm the Indian was on the boat today.
