Tillman misses Bears practice

Charles Tillman did not practice Wednesday at Halas Hall and is “day-to-day,” Bears coach Marc Trestman said.

“He didn’t work today,” he said. “He was on the side, in the training room.”

Tillman suffered a groin injury in the third quarter Sunday night against the Steelers; the coach said later he thought the injury might have sprung from Tillman over-compensating because of a knee injury.

Also Wednesday, cornerback Sherrick McManus missed practice with a quad injury.
