Jed Hertztalks Kankakee bald eagles, snowy owls and the Kankakee Valley Christmas Bird Count this afternoon on “Outside.”
The premier Kankakee birder is back for his fifth visit on Outside. It has become an annual tradition in early January to have Jed on to talk about the KVCBC.
But this year, we first started with the record number of bald eagles being seen around the Kankakee dam and the snowy owl irruption, before going on to the bird count.
And, as usual, Jed had a couple good simple suggestions for helping with public access in the outdoors.
“Outside” airs from 4:30-5 p.m. Mondays on WKCC-FM (91.1) in Kankakee. The rebroadcasts are at 8:30 a.m. on Saturdays.
