While we’ve seen numerous so-called engagements for former stars of “The Bachelor” and “Bachelorette” go nowhere — including Emily Maynard — friends of the former “Bachelorette” think her fourth altar-bound bid just make click.
A friend of Maynard’s said early Wednesday, “Not only is she crazy about Tyler, but it’s his love for Ricki that makes this look even more promising.”
Translation: The source is talking about Maynard’s latest fiance Tyler Johnson (who proposed Saturday) and his affection for Maynard’s 8-year-old daughter, Ricki. Along with giving Maynard a diamond band as an engagement ring, Johnson presented Ricki with a similar one as well.
This fourth engagement for Maynard follows two relationships tied to her reality show experiences. Brad Womack proposed to her on “The Bachelor” in 2010. They split up the following year. As the “Bachelorette,” Maynard accepted a proposal from Jef Holm in 2012, but that only lasted a few months.
Tragically, her first engagement was to NASCAR driver Ricky Hendrick — who died in a plane crash in 2004.
“I so hope this all works for Emily,” said the source Wednesday morning. “She deserves happiness and Tyler is a very special guy.”
