A man died in a fire Thursday morning in the Portage Park neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

Tadeusz Moscicki, 50, died after a fire at his home in the 3300 block of North Lockwood, the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

Moscicki was taken to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood where he died at 11:17 a.m., the medical examiner’s office said.

An autopsy showed Moscicki died from thermal injuries and smoke inhalation.

Further details were not immediately available Friday afternoon.
