Thanks to two guys from Norway, you’ll never have to worry about programming the coffee pot to turn on, or being forced to brew one cup at a time in your K-Cup during a family gathering.
All you’ll need is a few tools to convert your hot water heater into one giant coffee pot and get delicious, hot brewed coffee straight out of your kitchen sink — or any other sinks in your house.
The trick? Disconnect the incoming water line, measure out the appropriate amount of instant coffee based on the capacity of your water heater, then use a funnel to pour it in. Reconnect the incoming line, and you’re good to go.
Good news: You’ll now have hot coffee coming out of the hot water side of your faucets. Bad news: You’ll be stuck taking cold showers, unless you want to bathe in coffee.
There is one major flaw in their setup — you’ll gradually end up with increasingly weak coffee unless you keep disconnecting the incoming water line and manually dropping in instant coffee.
An easy solution would have been to attach a hopper to the hot water heater to continually fill it with more instant coffee.
