Mario Lopez, who police classify as “armed and dangerous,” tried to do the right thing and turn himself into police. But it turns out the police weren’t in a hurry to take him into custody.

Lopez was wanted for a string of burglaries and walked into the Yolo County Sheriff’s Department (Calif.) to be taken into custody, according to the Daily Democrat.

The problem was that he was told officers were too busy to book him. He “got tired of waiting” and left the police station.
