A man was wounded Tuesday night in a Humboldt Park neighborhood drive-by shooting on the West Side.

The 21-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to the hand about 9:20 p.m. while he was standing in an alley with a group of friends in the 3400 block of West Chicago Avenue and a tan-colored sedan drove past and someone inside fired shots, police said.

The man took himself to West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park, where he was listed in “stable” condition, police said.

Police said the man is a documented gang member.

No one is in custody as Area North detectives investigate.
