A 74-year-old man was shot in the neck Tuesday afternoon in the Far South Side Morgan Park neighborhood.

The shooting happened in the 11200 block of South Throop Street about 1:30 p.m., police News Affairs Officer Thomas Sweeney said.

The man was taken in “stable” condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn with a gunshot wound to the neck, Sweeney said.
