Bank robbed in West Lawn

A BMO Harris Bank branch was robbed Thursday afternoon in the West Lawn neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

About 12:45 p.m., a man, thought to be in his 20s, approached a teller at the BMO Harris Bank, 6400 S. Pulaski Road, and handed her a note demanding money, police said.

The teller handed him an undisclosed amount of cash and the man then ran way, police said.

The man did not show a weapon and no one was injured in the robbery, police said.

The suspect is described as a black male, standing between 6-feet and 6-foot-2, weighing between 160 and 175 pounds, with a slender building and dreadlocked black hair, the FBI said.
