A body was pulled from the Chicago River Tuesday morning on the Southwest Side, police said.

The Chicago Police Marine Unit and Chicago Fire Department responded to a call of a person in the water in the 3100 block of South Western at 11:35 a.m., police News Affairs Officer Thomas Sweeney said.

A body was removed from the water, Sweeney said, but additional details were not immediately available.
