A 69-year-old woman was fatally struck by a vehicle Wednesday morning in the Lake View neighborhood on the North Side three blocks away from her home.

The crash happened about 6:05 a.m. in the 2800 block of North Broadway, said Chicago Fire Department Deputy District Chief Jeff Lyle.

Maureen Wilson, of the 2900 block of North Pine Grove Avenue, was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead at 6:33 a.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Chicago Police said the driver stayed at the scene of the crash, but no charges were filed police confirmed Saturday.

The men, 18 and 20, were in the 1800 block of West Monroe Street about 9:20 p.m. when two people got out of a light-colored sedan and fired shots. They were hospitalized in fair condition.
