Nine people are in need of housing after a fire burned through a home Saturday in South Chicago.

The fire was reported just before 1 p.m. in an attic in the 8200 block of South Coles Avenue, Chicago fire officials said. It was struck out about 1:30 p.m.

No one was injured, officials said, but five adults and four children were displaced.

The Red Cross has been requested to assist with the displacements, officials said.

No further information was immediately available.
