A boy was shot early Tuesday in the Oakland neighborhood on the South Side.

The 16-year-old was standing on the corner when he heard shots and felt pain about 2:25 a.m. in the 3500 block of South Lake Park, according to Chicago Police.

He was shot in the leg and was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center where his condition had stabilized, police said.

Area Central detectives were investigating.

The men, 18 and 20, were in the 1800 block of West Monroe Street about 9:20 p.m. when two people got out of a light-colored sedan and fired shots. They were hospitalized in fair condition.
