Police in western Indiana are searching for an elderly man who went missing Saturday and may need medical attention.

Richard L. McDonald, 75, went missing about 8 a.m. from Brazil, Ind., which is about 20 miles east of Terre Haute, according to the Clay County sheriff’s office.

He is thought to be in danger and may need medical attention, the sheriff’s office said.

McDonald is described as a 5-foot-9, 180-pound white man with gray hair and blue eyes, the sheriff’s office said. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a gray sweatshirt.

He may be driving a 2006 green Dodge Grand Caravan with license plate no. 401ZSA, the sheriff’s office said.
