A 27-year-old man was shot and wounded around 10:45 p.m. Thursday by someone who walked up to him on the sidewalk in the 2700 block of West 41st Street in Brighton Park on the Southwest Side, according to the police.

They said he was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital with a gunshot wound to his right buttocks.
