A man was critically wounded in a shooting Friday night in the Riverdale neighborhood on the Far South Side.

The 30-year-old was standing in the backyard of a residence in the 13100 block of South Corliss about 10:50 p.m. when a male walked up and shot him in the right leg, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in critical condition, police said.
