A man who was found dead last week in a West Town park has been identified.

The 54-year-old was discovered in Eckhart Park at 1330 W. Chicago Ave. at 8:25 a.m. Wednesday, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office. He was dead at the scene.

He was later identified as David Moncada of the 1200 block of West Ohio, according to the medical examiner’s office. An autopsy was inconclusive.

Area Central detectives are conducting a death investigation.
