A man was seriously wounded in a shooting Monday night in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side. | Network Video Productions

A man was shot and seriously wounded late Monday in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

The 21-year-old was driving south about 11:30 p.m. in the 5600 block of South Loomis when someone got out of a black car and fired shots in his direction, according to Chicago Police.

He suffered two gunshot wounds to the back and was taken in serious condition to Stroger Hospital, police said.
