A man was shot and seriously wounded late Monday in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

The 21-year-old was driving south about 11:30 p.m. in the 5600 block of South Loomis when someone got out of a black car and fired shots in his direction, according to Chicago Police.

He suffered two gunshot wounds to the back and was taken in serious condition to Stroger Hospital, police said.

The men, 18 and 20, were in the 1800 block of West Monroe Street about 9:20 p.m. when two people got out of a light-colored sedan and fired shots. They were hospitalized in fair condition.
