A man was shot to death Saturday evening in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood on the South Side.

Carlton Hall, 30, was in a vehicle about 8:20 p.m. traveling southbound in the 7600 block of South Eggleston when another vehicle pulled alongside and someone inside opened fire, according to from Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Hall, of the 7000 block of South Wolcott, suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the torso and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 8:38 p.m., according to police and the medical examiner’s office. His death was ruled a homicide.
