Man shot in Austin

A man was shot late Saturday in the West Side Austin neighborhood.

At 10:44 p.m., the 24-year-old was walking in the 800 block of North Cicero when he heard shots and realized he’d been struck in the right leg, according to Chicago Police.

He took himself to West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

The men, 18 and 20, were in the 1800 block of West Monroe Street about 9:20 p.m. when two people got out of a light-colored sedan and fired shots. They were hospitalized in fair condition.
