Man shot in West Ridge

A man was shot early Tuesday in the West Ridge neighborhood on the North Side.

The 26-year-old was traveling in a vehicle about 1:40 a.m. in the 3100 block of West Devon when another vehicle pulled up alongside and someone inside yelled gang slogans and fired shots, police said.

The man suffered a graze wound to the ear and was taken to Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, where his condition had stabilized, police said.

The men, 18 and 20, were in the 1800 block of West Monroe Street about 9:20 p.m. when two people got out of a light-colored sedan and fired shots. They were hospitalized in fair condition.
