A man was wounded in a shooting Sunday afternoon in the West Side Austin neighborhood.

About 2:45 p.m., the 25-year-old was inside a vehicle in the 100 block of North Long when someone walked up and shot him in the arm, Chicago Police said.

The man showed up at West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park, where his condition stabilized, police said.

Area North detectives were investigating the shooting.
