A 33-year-old man was shot to death in the Englewood neighborhood Monday evening on the South Side.

LaShawn Carr was on a sidewalk in the 900 block of West 58th Street when a light-colored car pulled up and someone inside it shot him in the back about 6:45 p.m., according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Carr was taken to St. Bernard Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 7:07 p.m., authorities said. He lived in the 5900 block of South Emerald.

The men, 18 and 20, were in the 1800 block of West Monroe Street about 9:20 p.m. when two people got out of a light-colored sedan and fired shots. They were hospitalized in fair condition.
