Police released surveillance footage Wednesday of a man breaking into a west suburban hair salon late Sunday to steal cash and an iPod.

About 11:30 p.m., the man burglarized a vacant building next to the Eddie Caruso Salon at 2400 E. Main St. and then broke through drywall to get inside, according to St. Charles police. An employee discovered the damage Monday morning.
