Several vehicles were vandalized on Halloween night in the Hyde Park neighborhood on the South Side.

The large group walked in the 5400 block of South Kimbark and South Kenwood between 9:45 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. damaging vehicles, according to Chicago police. At least seven instances of vandalism were reported.

There were no reported injuries, and no one was in custody, police said.

The men, 18 and 20, were in the 1800 block of West Monroe Street about 9:20 p.m. when two people got out of a light-colored sedan and fired shots. They were hospitalized in fair condition.
