Woman shot on Northwest Side

A woman was shot early Sunday in the Austin neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

The 22-year-old was shot in the right leg about 4 a.m. in the 1800 block of North Mason, according to Chicago Police.

She was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where her condition was stabilized, police said.

Circumstances of the shooting were not known early Sunday as Area North detectives investigate.
