Pride Month ended with the 53rd annual Chicago Pride Parade in Northalsted, hundreds of mourners attended the funeral for former Chicago police officer Larry Neuman, and Chicagoans across the city enjoyed fireworks on the Fourth of July.

Community leaders to NASCAR: Be more like Lollapalooza

Jim Wales is a fan of NASCAR, but he’d like to see it directly invest in Grant Park. The community group leader pointed to Lollapalooza donating $500,000 to fix up the park’s tennis courts and add pickleball courts. “If these massive events are going to come in and use the park, they should be leaving the park in better condition than they found it,” he said.
