Pride Month ended with the 53rd annual Chicago Pride Parade in Northalsted, hundreds of mourners attended the funeral for former Chicago police officer Larry Neuman, and Chicagoans across the city enjoyed fireworks on the Fourth of July.

Chicago police say the person was seen running with a handgun and attempted to throw it away but was “unsuccessful.” When the person picked the handgun up again officers opened fire, striking them multiple times, according to police.
