Without a doubt, Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Florida, said the State of the Union response given by Sen. Joni Ernst, R-Iowa, Tuesday night was significantly better than his in 2013.

Then again, it would be hard to do worse than Rubio, who had an unquenchable thirst two years ago.

Rubio was asked if Ernst performed better than he did, and apparently, one of his criteria for a solid speech is to make it through the entire thing without stumbling.

“Yes, absolutely. There was no interruption,” Rubio told reporters at a breakfast sponsored by the Christian Science Monitor on Wednesday, according to the Washington Post. “She did a great job.”

Unfortunately for Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, he couldn’t offer up his take on Obama’s speech without losing his train of thought and ended up accidentally uploading his botched attempt to YouTube.
