BOURBONNAIS — John Fox’s former quarterback, Tim Tebow, wants to try professional baseball.

“Good for him,” the Bears coach said Tuesday after the Bears’ final training camp practice at Olivet Nazarene University. “He was very competitive, a super super young person, very dedicated to life. A guy I was very very impressed with that took us to the playoffs, and won a playoff game.”

Tebow started 11 games in 2011 for Fox before the Broncos signed Peyton Manning in the offseason. Tebow — who Fox said “works extremely hard at everything he does” — hasn’t thrown a regular-season pass since. He’s currently serving as an ESPN football analyst.
