KANSAS CITY — Chiefs star running back Jamaal Charles suffered a right knee injury early in the third quarter and was ruled out against the Bears.

Replays showed that Charles’ right knee buckled on a cut in the backfield before he was tackled. It was a somber moment, which included several players gathering around on him on their knees. Charles required help to the sideline and locker room.

Charles is one the game’s best backs, but he’s dealt with numerous injuries.In 2011, Charles tore his left anterior cruciate ligament.
