White Sox Flowers, Eaton, Johnson, Brantly close to full strength

The White Sox gave updates on four players who had minor surgery after the season. All are expected to be in normal training mode by Dec. 1, according to the Sox.

Catcher Tyler Flowers: Rehabbing after having baker’s cyst and loose piece removed from right knee.

Second baseman Micah Johnson: Rehabbing left knee after undergoing general cleanup procedure at Rush hospital on Oct. 1. The knee is structurally fine.

Outfielder Adam Eaton: Underwent a nerve decompression in the back of his left shoulder day after the season at Rush. Is rehabbing in Michigan and progressing well.

Catcher Rob Brantly: Had part of meniscus removed from left knee after season. Is rehabbing in California.

In other Sox news, the club has reportedly signed infielder Steve Lombardozzi to a minor league contract. Lombardozzi, 27, has a .263/.294/.336 career slash line over 289 games over parts of five seasons with the Nationals, Orioles and Pirates. He played in 12 games for the Pirates last season.
