Goose Island Beer Co. and Chicago-born drag queen and recording artist Shea Couleé are partnering up to launch Shea Coul-Alé, a new beer offering that celebrates and gives back to the LGBTQIA+ community as part of the brewery’s “Drag A Beer Campaign.”

Shea Coul-Alé, which has been available for pre-order since June 3, will be stocked at the following Goose Island properties and retail locations for delivery and to-go options beginning June 10 while supplies last: Clybourn Brewhouse, Fulton Taproom, Philly Brewhouse and Replay in Andersonville.

Goose Island’s latest limited-edition offering consists of lemony wheat flavor and dry-hopped brightness, housed in a 4-pack of 16 oz. rainbow pride cans.

Couleé, a “RuPaul’s Drag Race” season nine alum, says her beer is perfect for anyone amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

“This light and lemony urban wheat pale ale is brewed right in my hometown of Chicago,” said Couleé, a season five contestant on “RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars,” in a statement. “Great for social distancing cookouts. ... Shea Coul-Alé is a beer we can all enjoy with PRIDE!”

A portion of Shea Coul-Alé’s profits is scheduled to be donated to TransTech, an organization that arranges education, vocational training and job placement for trans women.

In conjunction with Wednesday’s launch, a lineup of virtual events is scheduled including a “Cooking with Couleé” live stream and an official Goose Island takeover on the Gay Do312 website.

“We’re excited to partner with renowned drag star hailing from our hometown of Chicago, Shea Couleé, and DoStuff Media for the first-ever ‘Drag A Beer’ campaign,” said Goose Island Beer Co. president Todd Ahsmann in a statement. “While celebrations here in Chicago and beyond continue to adapt during these unprecedented times, there was still no way we would miss honoring the LGBTQIA+ community and celebrating Pride the best way we know how... a beer and doing some good, with a portion of profits benefiting Shea’s charity of choice, Trans Tech Social Enterprises.”
