A 31-year-old man was shot Friday morning in the Chatham neighborhood on the South Side.

Just after 5 a.m., he was walking up the back porch stairs of a home in the 900 block of East 82nd Street when he heard shots and felt pain, according to Chicago Police.

The man had been shot in the leg and arm. He was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where his condition stabilized, police said.
