A Chicago Police officer on a bicycle was struck by a vehicle Tuesday afternoon in the Loop.

The officer was responding to a call when he was struck by a vehicle in the 0-100 block of South State Street at 2:18 p.m., police said.

He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in good condition and has since been released, police said.

The 30-year-old man driving the vehicle stayed at the scene and was cited for failure to yield to a police vehicle and no insurance.

The men, 18 and 20, were in the 1800 block of West Monroe Street about 9:20 p.m. when two people got out of a light-colored sedan and fired shots. They were hospitalized in fair condition.
